For a second consecutive year Adrian Gonzalez purchased and donated more than 3,500 toys for children in the East Los Angeles community. Gonzalez attended the East L.A. On Ice Winter Wonderland to personally help children choose their toy. Gonzalez joined Supervisor Gloria Molina on stage to greet attendees and take pictures on the ice rink before handing out toys. Other attractions at the event included a visit from Santa Claus, piles of real snow for winter play, face-painting, magicians, holiday train rides, carolers, food vendors with holiday antojitos (tasty treats), arts-and-crafts and music provided by a DJ.

On December 11 following the Dodgers’ annual Children’s Holiday Party, Adrian Gonzalez joined PADRES Contra El Cancer’s “Season of Hope” to visit young patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Gonzalez handed out Dodger goodie bag of hats and t-shirts as well as toys donated by Mattel to patients and visited with patients’ families.
Adrian and his wife Betsy are supporters of the work of PADRES Contra El Cancer which is committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, Levy Restaurants and SKECHERS hosted more than 300 children from the community surrounding Dodger Stadium at the annual Children’s Holiday Party at Dodger Stadium. First baseman Adrian Gonzalez, bench coach Tim Wallach and wife Lori, and Dodger Alumni Billy Ashley, Tommy Davis, Al Downing, Al Ferrara, “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Kenny Landreaux, Matt Luke and Dennis Powell were all on hand to participate with the kids. Santa Claus was also a hit reading and taking photos with everyone.
